Help pave the way for a brighter future in the lives of abused children...
In June 2008, the Children's Advocacy Center dedicated our healing garden, which was created by the Foothills Carolina Club to honor victims of child abuse and their non-offending family members. Located on the grounds of the CAC, the garden resembles a Native American medicine wheel. Four paths each start with a bench and lead to a center sculpture representing the journey of healing a child victim and their non-offending family members go through. This garden embodies the importance of our work at the CAC, as we are here to help them along that journey.
The four paths are bordered with smalls bricks and feature large bricks as stepping stones. Our brick campaign is a special way to honor or memorialize a loved one. You may choose from three levels of giving and the brick can be engraved according to your preference. Bricks are ordered biannually: in January for spring installation and in June for fall installation.
You can purchase a brick from our website, or call (828) 465-9296 for more information. |
