"When a family is thrust into a child sex abuse trauma, there are many agencies in the county with whom they have to deal. This process is difficult, frightening and confusing for victims and their families. The Children’s Advocacy Center exists to assist in this process by bringing the various county agencies together under one roof and acting as a liaison on behalf of the families to help insure the best possible outcome. It is powerful when a victimized family comes to the CAC and is greeted by a smiling face, an open door, and a knowledgeable advocate whose sole purpose is to help them navigate this terrible experience.
